Using Shapes as Well as Re-Color Under Photo Tools To Solve An Old Problem…
- To fix this first situation right click on the slide itself (not the rectangle), and under Format, fill the slide with a dark color such as a dark blue.
- Now right click on the shape that is filled with the photo and text and in the right panel under the “Paint Can,” use the “transparency feature” until your text starts to appear more pronounced. Don’t worry, your photo will still be very much visible.
- Draw a rectangle directly over the shape containing the photo and text. Change the color to blue or something a little dark.
- Right click on the newly created rectangle and “send back” “1 level.”
- Now right click on the rectangle containing the photo and text and select “Format”. Again, use the transparency feature until the text shows through better.
- This second method allows you to keep the photo that sits in the slide itself as well as still preserving the photo that sits under the text.
- The first thing we did was to right click on the slide portion (not the text boxes sitting on the slide) and go to Format Background.
- We then looked for “Transparency” and took it to 50%. Now all of the text was showing clearly on the washed out version of the photo embedded into the slide.
- We then sent the slide back to the attorney. He said you solved the text problem, “but I do not like the washed-out look.” I want the photo at full strength.
- Okay, this time we right clicked on the slide portion (not the text boxes sitting on the slide) and went back to Format Background.
- We went to Picture, Picture Color and opened up recolor. We now were looking at a variety of tinted colors to choose from for our slide photo.
- We used a light red tint and we were using white text. The tint evened out all areas of the photo. The attorney liked what he saw and the problem was solved. The tints under “Recolor” come in handy and produce a very clean look especially the grey tint and the grey/blue tint!
- Give it a try when you get a chance. We went over a variety of scenarios which gives you choices and allows you to solve most scenarios.
